Men’s national team head coach Javier Cabrera has been reappointed as the national team head coach for the next one year, the decision was made on Wednesday in an emergency meeting of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) where only senior vice-president and four vice-presidents were present, chaired by president Tabith Awal.
The meeting also confirmed to renewal of the contract with women’s national team head coach Peter Butler, though BFF executive committee member and Committee for Women’s Football chief Mahfuza Akhter Kiran earlier said that they were interested to continue with the British coach.
“Both Cabrera and Butler will stay for the next one month. President (BFF) took this decision,” a vice-president on request of anonymity told the Daily Sun after the meeting on Wednesday.
