BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman has sought prayers for his mother, party chairperson Khaleda Zia, who is receiving treatment at a clinic in London.
On Friday evening, Tarique, accompanied by his wife, visited The London Clinic, a renowned medical facility in central London, where Khaleda Zia is undergoing care.
Speaking to the press outside the hospital, Tarique refrained from offering any further details on his mother’s condition but urged the public to keep her in their thoughts. “As a son, I ask for prayers for my mother,” he said.

Meanwhile, on Friday, UK BNP organized prayer mahfils in mosques in various cities after Friday prayers to pray for Khaleda Zia's recovery.
Talking to this reporter on Friday afternoon, UK BNP President MA Malek said that doctors will jointly decide on the next course of treatment for Madam after receiving all her health test reports.
The area around The London Clinic in Central London was filled with BNP leaders and activists after Jumma prayers on Friday.
Khaleda Zia is undergoing treatment at this hospital under Professor John Patrick Kennedy.
