Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam today (February 21) paid rich tributes to the language martyrs on the occasion of the Great Shaheed Dibash (Martyrs' Day) and International Mother Language Day-2025.
In the first hour of Ekushey, the IGP paid homage to the language movement heroes, who made supreme sacrifice to establish Bangla as the mother-language in 1952, by placing a wreath at the altar of the Central Shaheed Minar, said a press release of Police Headquarters.
Senior police officials were present with the IGP at the time.
