The Islamic Movement of Bangladesh has submitted its views on the reforms proposal to the vice-chairman of the National Consensus Commission Professor Ali Riaz.
A delegation led by the party's secretary general principal Maulana Yunus Ahmed submitted the proposal to the commission office in the Parliament Building on Thursday.
Monir Haider, special assistant to the Chief Advisor, was present at the time. Islamic Andolon Bangladesh delegation also included the party's presidium member professor Ali Akon, joint secretary general engineer Ashraful Alam and assistant secretary general Ahmed Abdul Qayyum.
The National Consensus Commission has been formed under the chairmanship of the Chief Advisor of the Interim Government professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, with the aim of building a national consensus on reforms. The activities of this commission began on February 15. The National Consensus Commission began formal dialogue on March 20 to finalize the recommendations made by the reform commissions.
