BNP’s Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has said, “Sheikh Hasina was an ideal model of corruption. There is no sector left untouched by her corruption. Even though Tulip grew up in a corruption-free country like the United Kingdom, she got involved in corruption due to ‘family genes’ .”
He made these remarks on Friday afternoon at an event held in the KIB auditorium in the capital.
During this time, Rizvi questioned on what basis the corrupt Sheikh Hasina was granted asylum in India.
He also said, “Deep down inside, Hasina had no political ideals. Her only focus was on so-called development. In the name of this ‘development’, she laundered money abroad”
Commenting that the Awami League’s participation in the Liberation War was less than other parties, Rizvi said, “Even though Hasina and her party always talk about the ‘spirit’ of the Liberation War, they are the ones who tarnished the legacy of Liberation War. The Liberation War wasn’t fought by the Awami League alone; it was a collective effort by everyone.”
