Students from Suhrawardy and Kabi Nazrul Colleges in Old Dhaka attacked Dr. Mahbubur Rahman Mollah College (DMRC) on Monday.
The incident occurred around 12:30 PM, and the Demra area in Jatrabari turned into a battleground as both groups chased each other.
Several students were reported to have sustained serious injuries in the clash.
Earlier, on the previous day, students from Dr. Mahbubur Rahman Molla College had carried out widespread vandalism and looting at National Medical College and Shaheed Suhrawardy College in Old Dhaka.
Mofizul Islam, ADC of the Wari Division, told the media, "There is an ongoing issue in front of Dr. Mahbubur Rahman Molla College. I am not in a position to make any comment at the moment."
