Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam has said Sheikh Hasina will be brought to the country and tried after completing legal procedures.
“The trial of force disappearances, killings, and genocide is underway to ensure justice and accountability. Sheikh Hasina will be tried by bringing her back to the country after completing legal procedures,” he said.
Shafiqul Alam said at a seminar held at Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on Saturday.
The seminar titled ‘Aspiration of the July Revolution and the Media’ was held at the Bir Shreshtha Hamidur Rahman Central Auditorium jointly organized by the university and the Islamic University Journalists Association (IUJA).
The press secretary said, “We will ensure the trial of the killers of the July movement by searching them as like Sheikh Hasina brought the killers of her father to the country.”
He also mentioned that the interim government is working to reform the country to build a country of people’s aspirations.
Shafiqul Alam said, “Islamic University has played an important role in the July movement. This image must be informed to the world. We must work to preserve the history of the movement of this university.”
He also urged the university authority to rename all establishments after July martyrs changing the names of the fascists.
