Chief Adviser’s press secretary Shafiqul Alam said threats and intimidation of journalists or attacking media outlets will not be tolerated, reports UNB.
He made the comment while condemning the attack on the Prothom Alo office at Rajshahi in the strongest terms on Tuesday.
He said on his verified Facebook account: “If you have complaints against the journalism of Prothom Alo, the Daily Star, or any other media outlet, you can go to court to seek legal redress.”
“You can also hold peaceful protests,” Alam said, adding that protests against media outlets are not new. “It has been going on for centuries.”
