President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated that Türkiye has made the issue of Gaza a top priority on all international platforms and will continue advocating for Palestinian liberation until Palestine is fully free.
In a news conference after a cabinet meeting in Ankara on Monday, Erdoğan emphasized Türkiye's ongoing efforts to halt Israeli aggression. "We are working tirelessly to urge international organizations, especially the United Nations, to take decisive action to stop Israeli attacks," he said.
Erdoğan also noted that the recent decision by the International Criminal Court (ICC) signals growing pressure on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his "massacre gang."
He reiterated Türkiye’s commitment to rallying the Muslim world against Israel, declaring, "We will continue to stand in solidarity with Palestinians until the Israeli genocide ends, and Gaza and Palestine are fully liberated, using all our strength and resources."
The president stressed that Türkiye’s efforts for Palestine and Lebanon go beyond what is often visible in the media. He highlighted the positive reception Türkiye’s actions received at the Extraordinary Joint Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Arab League in Riyadh earlier this month. Additionally, at the COP29 climate summit in Baku, Türkiye raised concerns about Israel's actions, and during his meeting with Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the focus was not only on trade relations but also on the humanitarian crises in Gaza and Lebanon.
At the G-20 Leaders' Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Erdoğan emphasized the threat posed by Israel’s occupation and invasion policies to Türkiye, the region, and the world.
