The size of the Advisory Council of the Interim Government is expanding as four more advisers will be sworn in on Friday. With this, the total number of advisers will stand at 21.
This information was revealed by the Cabinet Department on Thursday afternoon.
The new four advisers are - economist Wahid Uddin Mahmud, former Cabinet Secretary Ali Imam Majumdar and former Secretary Md. Fawzul Kabir Khan. Furthermore, Lieutenant General (Retd.) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury will take oath.
According to the information, on Friday (August 16) four new advisers will take oath at Bangabhaban at 4 pm. President Md. Sahabuddin will administer their oath. Chief adviser Muhammad Yunus and other advisers will be present on the occasion.
