A case has been filed against five people, including former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, on charges of kidnapping a Supreme Court lawyer.
The court has instructed that the allegations brought by a Supreme Court lawyer, accusing them of abduction, be accepted as a case. The order was issued on Wednesday, Daily Sun reports.
Magistrate Farzana Shakil Sumu Chowdhury of the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court issued the order.
Alongside Awami League President Sheikh Hasina, the other accused in this case are former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, former Law Minister Anisul Huq, former Inspector General of Police (IGP) AKM Shahidul Hoque, and former Director General of RAB Benazir Ahmed.
Additionally, 20-25 unidentified members of RAB have also been named as accused in the lawsuit.
