Decision has been taken to withdraw the criminal case filed to suppress the mass movement of students from last July 1 to August 5 within the next three working days.
Adviser to the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Asif Nazrul took this decision in a meeting with officials of law and judiciary department at the Secretariat on Saturday.
This information was informed in a press release of the Ministry of Law. A total of five decisions were taken in the meeting.
They are-
1. Arrangements will be made to quickly bring those involved in the killings that took place to suppress the mass movement of students in July-August.
2. Necessary steps will be taken within the next three working days to withdraw the criminal cases filed to suppress the mass movement of the students from July 1 to August 5.
3. Arrangements will be made to release the children and adolescents detained in the Child and Adolescent Development Center on false and harassing cases within the next three working days.
4. Arrangements will be made for speedy withdrawal of false and harassing cases filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act and Cyber Security Act.
5. Provision will be made to provide victim support using the number '16430' of the Law and Justice Department in cases of falsehood and harassment.
