Anti-discrimination student movement coordinator Asif Mahmud announced on Sunday that the 'Long March to Dhaka' has been rescheduled from Tuesday to Monday.
In a message to the media, Mahmud stated, “Due to an urgent review of the situation, our 'Long March to Dhaka' program has been moved from August 6 to August 5. I urge students nationwide to travel to Dhaka tomorrow.”
Mahmud emphasized the gravity of the situation, noting, “Over fifty students have lost their lives today. It is time for the final answer. Students from surrounding districts should head to Dhaka, and those who can should depart today. Join the liberation student crowd in the streets of Dhaka.”
He called for widespread participation, declaring, “The final battle is upon us. This is the moment for the ultimate signature of this student uprising. Come to Dhaka to be part of history. Arrive by tomorrow if you can. The students will bring forth a new Bangladesh.”
