Thousands of people thronged the Central Shaheed Minar on Friday demanding justice for those killed during the recent quota reform movement and the consequent mass arrest, reports Daily Sun.
The people from different classes and professions, including students, teachers, doctors and cultural and human rights activists first staged a demonstration in front of the National Press Club in Dhaka around 3:30 pm.
Later, they brought out a procession that reached the Central Shaheed Minar around 4 pm to press home their demands.
They were also chanting slogans demanding the immediate unconditional release of those detained during the recent quota reform movement and stopping the mass arrest.
The entire area turned into a human sea with the presence of the protesters within a moment.
