Mild Heat wave is sweeping over two divisions and three districts and it may abate from some places, reports BSS.
“Mild Heat wave is sweeping over Rangpur and Sylhet divisions and the districts of Rajshahi, Tangail and Kishoreganj and it may abate from some places,” said a met office forecast for the next 24 hours bulletin on Monday.
Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions; at a few places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Dhaka divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi division with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Punjab, Hariyana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal to Assam across southern part of Bangladesh. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay.
Country's maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded 37.0 degree Celsius at Rangpur and minimum temperature was recorded 25.1 degree Celsius at Kutubdia.
Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6 am today was recorded 41 millimeters (mm) at Patuakhali.
