Three workers have died and a few others were injured by electrocution while they were working at an under-construction high-rise building in Sripur upazila of Gazipur.
The incident occurred around 8:15 am on Thursday.
The identity of the deceased could be known immediately after the accident.
Gazipur fire service assistant deputy director Abdullah Al Arefin confirmed the matter.
Locals said the deceased and injured workers came in contact with an electric wire while working at the building.
Two units of the Gazipur fire service are operating rescue drives.
Injured workers were taken to the hospital, said Abdullah Al Arefin.
