23 gold bars seized at Ctg airport, man held

Customs intelligence seized 23 gold bars from a passenger at Chattogram Shah Amanat Airport on Thursday morning.

Acting on a tip-off, customs officials detained Mohammad Jashim Uddin, a passenger on flight BG-148 from Dubai and seized 23 gold bars weighing 2.7 kg from his possession. 

Confirming the matter Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate, Chattogram Joint Director Saifur Rahman said they are searching for more gold bars from the detained man’s rectum by scanning.
