No Ramadan moon was sighted in the sky of Bangladesh on Wednesday. As a result, the Ramadan in the country will begin on Friday.
At a meeting held at the Islamic Foundation's Baitul Mukarram office, the National Moon Sighting Committee took the decision.
The first Traweeh prayer will start on Thursday, and Sheri will have to be complete at wee hours of Friday.
State Minister for Religious Affairs Faridul Haque Khan presided over the meeting.
