The investigative committee on Rohingya camp fire that gutted over 2000 houses on Sunday found evidence on pre-planned fire over establishing dominance, reports UNB.
Additional District Magistrate and head of the investigation committee Abu Sufian submitted the report to the District Commissioner on Sunday evening.
The report also made 10 recommendations besides explaining the cause of the incident.
“The blaze started at 2.30 pm in the D block of Camp-11. Several places also caught fire within a few minutes. It proves that the incident was part of sabotage,” said Abu Sufian.
According to the investigation committee, around 2200 houses were charred in that fire where more than 15000 Rohingya have been affected and about 2000 Rohingya were injured.
