Agriculture Minister Dr Muhammad Abdur Razzaque on Sunday said the government is making its all-out strides to utilize the youth force as they are the real asset of the country, reports BSS.
"The government has been implementing different education friendly steps for the development of standard of education and research along with infrastructural development in the last 14 years," he said.
Razzaque was addressing the 3rd convocation of Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University (MBSTU) in Tangail, said a press release.
On behalf of President M Abdul Hamid, also Chancellor of MBSTU, the agriculture minister chaired the convocation and conferred degrees on the graduates.
Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP) Bangladesh founder and coordinator Valerie Ann Taylor joined it as the convocation speaker while MBSTU Vice-Chancellor Professor Md Farhad Hossain delivered the welcome address.
Razzaque said the government is providing a huge number of fellowships to encourage students in research works.
"The role of skilled human resources is very important for overall development of a country in the current world. Skilled human resources are more important in the countries like ours which have very limited natural resources," he said.
The minister underscored the need for building the students as skilled human resources through time-befitting and practical education.
