Students of Bashundhara Shuvosangho School in Kamarjani area of Gaibandha received new government-funded textbooks at a colourful festival on Sunday (Jan 5).
The programme started with the national anthem, followed by the performance of poems and cultural activities by students on the school campus.
Shuvosangho's district unit president Humayun Ahmed Biplob, members Ahsania Fouadha and Aldin Alif, school teacher Neela Akhtar, Sharmin Khatun, guardian Asfi Begum, Tushar Mia and Kaler Kantho correspondent Amitabh Das Himun were present.
Teacher Sharmin Khatun said the Shuvosangho School has been a blessing for the children of poor families.
“The people of the area are praying for everything that Bashundhara Group has done for them to get the light of education. We are proud to work for these students,” she said.
