Bashundhara Shuvosangho has organized a competition on Bangla alphabet in Tetulia on Thursday to encourage the younger generation towards their mother tongue.
The competition titled ‘Amar Bornomala’ was held at Burimutki Government Primary School in the upazila in collaboration with the social platform's upazila unit.
Students from classes one to five participated in a competition to correctly pronounce every Bangla alphabet within a specific timeframe.
Subarna Shabnam, headteacher of the school, said that every pupil has mastered the art of correctly pronouncing and saying the letters.
"We were really impressed by the different excitement they had about the competition," she said.
Bashundhara Shuvosangho Tentulia unit president Humayun Kabir, general secretary Ferdous Alam Liton, vice-president Sarwar Sohag, joint general secretary Shakil Ahmed and organising secretary Mahfuz Selim Niyon were also present on the occasion.
