Bashundhara Shuvosangho organized a meeting in Dinajpur to raise social awareness about dowry, women's oppression, and child marriage.
The meeting, held at the Mistripara Unnayan Sangha Club in Sadar Upazila on Friday, was attended by over fifty local residents.
During the meeting, speakers emphasized that dowry and child marriage are serious social issues. They pointed out that many married women suffer from both physical and mental abuse as a result of dowry. They also highlighted that dowry and child marriage are not only unlawful but also contrary to religious teachings.
Among those present at the event were Shuvosangho District Unit Adviser Emdadul Haque Milon, Upazila Unit President Astarul Alam, Vice President Mominul Islam, General Secretary Tanjirul Hasan, Joint General Secretary Masud Parvez, Office Secretary Milan Ahmed, Literary and Cultural Secretary Al Momin, and Executive Members Zakaria Islam Jibon, Harun Ur Rashid, Shakib Hasan, Sagar Hossain, Al Mamun, Arif Hossain, Rufaid, and Saimun Chowdhury.
