Bashundhara Shuvosangho has organised a competition in Jibannagar of Chuadanga district to inspire youths for correct pronunciation of their mother tongue.
Eighteen students of class six participated in the competition at Thana Model High School in the area on Sunday.
Freelance writer Ruhul Amin Mallick was the chief guest, while Jibannagar Promito Bangla Parishad Secretary Momin Uddin was the special guest at the event.
Daily Ittefaq Upazila Correspondent Munshi Mahbubur Rahman Babu, Mithun Mahmud of Danik Mathabhanga, Jibannagar Model Secondary School teachers Rebecca Sultana, Alima Khatun, and Mahbub Ara, Shuvosangho Upazila Unit President Shamsul Alam, Adviser Zahirul Islam, and members Zahidur Rahman, Belal Hossain, Faruk Ahmed, Munia Ahmed, Jasmine Ara, and Sumaiya Siddika were present on the occasion.
Munshi Mahbubur Rahman has appreciated the initiative of creative competition to inspire youths in practising their mother language.
“We have been carrying out awareness activities in different spheres of society. There is no other organisation in Bangladesh that has accomplished social work on such a large scale. We will come up with more unique and different works in the future,” said Shamsul Alam, president of the upazila unit of Bashundhara Shuvosangho.
