Members of Bashundhara Shuvosangho in Patiya municipality in Chattogram have stood by a patient named Monir Ahmed, who suffered a stroke and almost lost control over the left side of his body.
Now, Monir, the lone earning member of his family, is unable to work. In this situation, the helpless man has been spending days half-eaten and nearly starving with his wife and three children.
Shuvosangho Greater Chattogram unit President SMA Jewel and Patiya unit Adviser Md Saifuddin, in the presence of Patiya Press Club President Abdul Hakim Rana, handed over financial assistance to the underprivileged patient on Wednesday.
Patiya unit President Saifuddin said that Shuvosangho is moving forward with its mission of supporting everyone.
“We try to play a role in the development of the society by helping the helpless people,” he said.
Shuvosangho members Ahmed Sagir, Sadhan Dutta, Mohiuddin, Masud Chowdhury, Manjur Hossain, Mohammad Lokman, Mohammad Belal, Abdul Mujib, Nurul Absar, and Azgar Ali were present on the occasion.
