A massive fire broke out at an oxygen plant following an explosion in Kadam Rasul (Keshabpur) area under Sitakunda upazila in Charttogram on Saturday afternoon and five people reportedly dead in the incident, reports UNB.
Thirty people are also injured in this explosion and fire.
The fire started at Seema Oxygen Plant around 4:30 pm after a big bang, Sitakunda Fire Service officer Md Fazle Rabbi said.
On information, three firefighting units rushed to the spot and are trying to bring the blaze under control, he added.
However, the reason behind the blast and fire could not be known immediately, said the fire official.
