1,445 traffic violation cases filed in Dhaka

The Traffic Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed 1,445 cases against individuals violating traffic laws in various areas of the capital.

Deputy commissioner (DC) of DMP’s Media and Public Relations Division, Md Talebur Rahman, confirmed the information on Monday afternoon.

He stated that the cases were filed during a traffic operation conducted by the DMP Traffic Division on Sunday. Additionally, 222 vehicles were dumped, and 71 vehicles were towed during the operation.

The DMP Traffic Division will continue its operations to maintain traffic discipline in the Dhaka metropolitan area, he added.
