Bangladesh Railway is offering advance sales of intercity train tickets through special arrangements for the holy day of Eid-ul-Fitr on March 31.
On the fourth day of the special sale on Monday, ticket seekers hit the railway e-ticketing website and mobile app a total of 15 million times in the first 30 minutes. During this time, around 31,000 seats were sold across the country, including Dhaka.
According to the information, ticket sales for trains from the western region of the railway began at 8:00 AM. In the first 30 minutes, 13,353 tickets were sold for trains in the western region, while 17,481 tickets were sold nationwide.
A total of 30,834 tickets were sold across the country, including Dhaka, in the first 30 minutes.
For March 27, there will be 33,199 seats available on trains departing from Dhaka, and a total of 173,279 seats across all trains nationwide.
