Hamza Dewan Choudhury has arrived in Bangladesh to join the national football team.
The English Premier League player touched down at Sylhet International Airport today (March 17) at approximately 10:45 am.
Earlier, at 2:00 am this morning, Hamza departed from Manchester on a Bangladesh Airlines flight to Sylhet.
After completing immigration, he was warmly welcomed by BFF officials, accompanied by his father, Morshed Dewan Chowdhury. A large crowd of supporters gathered outside Sylhet Airport to catch a glimpse of Hamza.
From the airport, he will travel directly to his ancestral home in Snanghat Union, Bahubal, Habiganj, where he will spend time with his family today. His arrival has already created a festive atmosphere there.
After staying in Habiganj for two days, Hamza will join the team at the hotel in Dhaka on March 19 at noon.
He will face the media at an official press conference that afternoon. Before that, a team photoshoot is scheduled in the morning, followed by a possible training session in the afternoon or evening.
On March 25, Bangladesh will face India in the AFC Asian Championship qualifiers at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Shillong.
Hamza is expected to be accompanied by 16 to 17 family members and close relatives on his journey.
