Md Nahid Islam, advisor to the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology on Thursday directed the authorities concerned to make the mobile network free in the flood-hit areas.
According to a media release from the information and broadcasting ministry, the adviser said the mobile network has disconnected in some flood-affected upazilas due to the damage to optical fibre.
Although the mobile network is disconnected, 10 VSAT is ready for operation, added the release.
