Rail communication between Sylhet and the rest of the country has been suspended due to a collision between a passenger train and a truck in Sreemangal of Moulvibazar.
The accident occurred at the Bhanugachh railway crossing in front of Sreemangal Railway Station around 2:00 am on Sunday.
Eyewitnesses said the accident happened while Dhaka-bound Upabon Express was entering Sreemangal Railway Station. The train collided with the truck as the gateman of the Bhanugachh railway crossing was absent at that time.
Fortunately, no report of casualty was found till filing this report.
However, rail communication between Sylhet and the rest of the country has been suspended after the accident. Passengers are suffering for that.
Confirming the matter, Sreemangal Railway Station master Shakhawat Hossain said it is not sure when the situation will be normal.
