Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed submitted the Supreme Court's Annual Report-2023 to President Mohammed Shahabuddin at Bangabhaban in the capital on Tuesday (November 26).
Appellate Division Justice Md Ashfaqul Islam was present at that time.
The Chief Justice briefed the President on various aspects of the report and the Supreme Court's overall functioning. He also informed the President that the Supreme Judicial Council had been formed.
Expressing his satisfaction with the overall activities of the Supreme Court, Mohammed Shahabuddin said the Supreme Court is the last place for the justice seekers.
He also hoped that the judiciary department would be able to ensure justice in a rational time led by the Chief Justice.
President's Office senior secretary Nasimul Gani and President's press secretary Joynal Abedin were present at that time.
