Argentine Foreign Minister Santiago Cafiero arrived in Dhaka on Monday on a two-day visit.
Bangladesh Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen welcomed him at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 8:00 am. During his visit, the embassy of Argentina will be opened in Bangladesh.
Sources in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Argentina's Foreign Minister Santiago will inaugurate the embassy along with Bangladesh's State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam at Banani in the capital this afternoon.
In the evening, Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen will hold a bilateral meeting with his Argentine counterpart at the State Guest House Jamuna. He will attend a dinner after the meeting.
Santiago Cafiero's visit will officially announce the re-opening of the Argentine Embassy in Dhaka. Besides, trade and investment issues will be discussed.
Santiago will also meet Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi during his visit to Dhaka.
