BNP central leader and former minister Advocate M Ruhul Quddus Talukder Dulu on Monday said, “Hold elections before the people turn their backs. The country is going through an extreme crisis. No one is paying heed to others. To bring the country under control, the national elections are needed first.”
“The people of the country should not be considered stupid as they understand everything. All the reforms of the state are mentioned in the 31-point plan announced by BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman. No other reforms are needed separately,” he said.
Dulu said this while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion meeting and iftar mahfil organized by BNP wing in Khajura Union of Natore on Monday afternoon.
At the event, Dulu also said hold national elections soon. If the rule of law is not implemented in the country, stability will not come. Stability is not possible in any way without an elected government.
