Former caretaker government adviser Rasheda K Choudhury said those who attacked East West Media Group Limited should be found and brought to exemplary punishment.
“Students of Anti-discrimination Movement don’t attack on media. We need to find out who is carrying out these attacks. Attackers will have to be brought under justice,” she said.
Rasheda K Choudhury came up with the observation while talking to Bangladesh Pratidin on Monday afternoon.
The former adviser said if those involved in this crime are not arrested, a wrong message may be spread across the country. Many may think that student agitators are involved in this attack. But the students are not engaged with it.
“We are talking about the freedom of the media. It cannot be accepted that the media will be attacked. In these circumstances, one group is involved in various misdeeds. It cannot be allowed to continue. Action must be taken against these miscreants,” she added.
