The rainy season is the most suitable time for tree plantation and the members of Bashundhara Shuvsangho Atwari Upazila Brach have taken program to plant saplings aiming at making a greener Bangladesh. They are inspiring the students in various educational institutes for planting trees as well as distributing the saplings to them. The program started at Atwari Ideal School and College in Panchagarh district.
The members of Bashundhara Shuvosangho promoted the importance of tree plantation and made the students aware of nature conservation. With the help of the students they planted the seedlings in the school premises. Each of the students was given a seedlings and the students were very happy to get it.
Rabbu Hossain, the president of Bashundhara Shuvosangho district branch, said, "There is no alternative to planting trees to deal with climate change." We have chosen this period of monsoon for plantation and distribution of saplings. Our work will continue.”
Nitish Chandra Barman, head master of Atwari Ideal School and College, said, "A large part of the youth is misguided these days. In this time the members of Bashundhara Shuvosangho were doing good work. They are distributing plants and saplings to prevent environmental degradation. What could be better than that? In this way, if we all do good work little by little, the society will change.”
