Arif Hossain Khan, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank, has been appointed as the central bank’s new spokesperson, replacing Husne Ara Shikha.
The decision was announced in a directive issued on Wednesday by Jobdul Islam, Director of the central bank’s Human Resources Department.
To assist Arif Hossain Khan in his role, Mohammad Shahriar Siddiqui, Director of the Banking Regulations and Policy Department, and Saeeda Khanom, Director of the Communications and Publications Department, have been designated as assistant spokespersons.
Arif Hossain began his career at Bangladesh Bank in 1996 as an Assistant Director.
