Dr. Anisuzzaman Chowdhury has been appointed as the special assistant to the chief advisor with the rank of state minister.
A notification in this regard was issued by the Cabinet Division on Monday. The notification said that he will perform the duties in the Ministry of Finance.
The notification said that the chief advisor to the interim government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh has appointed Dr. Anisuzzaman Chowdhury as the special assistant with the rank of state minister.
Dr. Anisuzzaman Chowdhury has been entrusted with the executive powers in the Ministry of Finance to assist the advisor as per the rules of business.
It was also stated that while holding the post of special assistant, he will be entitled to the rank, salary and allowances and ancillary facilities of the state minister.
Earlier this afternoon, Professor Dr. M Aminul Islam, the special assistant to the chief advisor with the rank of state minister, who was serving in the Ministry of Education, resigned.
Shafiqul Alam, the press secretary to the chief advisor, shared this information at a press briefing this afternoon.
