The Election Commission (EC) has issued a public notice inviting applications for the registration of new political parties ahead of the 13th National Assembly elections.
In a notice signed by the EC Secretary on Monday, the commission announced that applications for new party registration will be accepted until April 20.
At present, 54 political parties are registered with the EC. This number is expected to rise once the registration process is completed.
