Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin has said that the Election Commission (EC) does not want to miss the national election timeline in December.
CEC said this after a meeting with British High Commissioner Sarah Cook at the Election Building in Agargaon in the capital on Monday.
He said, “We are preparing keeping in mind the issue of not missing the national election timeline in December. The schedule for the elections in December will be given in October.”
CEC also said that they wanted to know about our election preparations. We have told everything. They want to help us.
British High Commissioner Sarah Cook said, the UK wants a fair, impartial and participatory election in Bangladesh. The UK will stand by Bangladesh with any assistance. There were fruitful discussions on the upcoming elections.
