In an interview with al-Manar TV, Hezbollah chief Naim Qassem demanded a full Israeli pullout from Lebanon as well as its continued attacks on the country.
He said Hezbollah is deeply committed to resisting “the Israeli occupation’s expansionist agenda”, which threatens not just Palestine but the entire region, reports Al Jazeera.
“Our mission is not only to help the Palestinians liberate their land but also to protect our own. We will stand with them as part of our broader national interest,” he said.
Qassem acknowledged the changing balance of power in Lebanon and the Middle East, but said the principles of the movement remain unchanged.
“There are new equations emerging today, but we will not allow them to solidify in favour of Israeli interests. Instead, we will work to ensure these equations protect our future,” he added.
