Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s (DMP) Traffic Division has filed a total of 857 cases and realized more than 35 taka as fine in a single day across the capital for violating traffic rules, reports BSS.
The cases were filed and Tk 35,14,625 fines imposed on Monday, Muhammad Talebur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner (media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), shared the information on Tuesday in a press release.
During the drive, a total of 214 vehicles were impounded and 86 others towed.
The DMP information further said these drives will continue to bring discipline on Dhaka’s streets.
The DMP has been conducting campaigns against traffic rule breakers to bring the traffic system under control.
