9 people died in dengue in last 24 hrs.
In the same period, 214 people got admitted to hospitals due to this mosquito-menace.
This information was shared in a press release on dengue sent by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services on Thursday.
According to the release, among the patients admitted to hospitals due to dengue in the last 24 hours, 82 are in Barisal division (outside the City Corporation), 94 in Chittagong division (outside the City Corporation), 430 in Dhaka division (outside the City Corporation), 195 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 141 in Dhaka South City Corporation, 117 in Khulna division (outside the City Corporation), 39 in Mymensingh division (outside the City Corporation), 91 in Rajshahi division (outside the City Corporation), 14 in Rangpur division (outside the City Corporation), and 11 in Sylhet division (outside the City Corporation). In the last 24 hours, 1,336 dengue patients have been discharged from the hospital, taking the total number of dengue patients discharged this year to 80,050.
As of November 21 this year, a total of 84,368 people have been infected with dengue. Of these, 63.2 percent are men and 36.8 percent are women. Nine more people have died of dengue in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of dengue deaths this year to 436.
