Sarjis Alam, Chief Organiser of the Jatiya Nagorik Committee, announced plans to form a group in every district, upazila, and union to fight against injustice.
Speaking at a winter clothing distribution event at Moqbular Rahman Government College in Panchagarh on Friday, Sarjis emphasized that the opportunity given by the creator is a "deposit" to be used for the welfare of the people.
Sarjis Alam said, “If there is any injustice or if people face demands for money or harassment, inform us. If any representative has committed wrongdoings, we will take necessary action.”
He stressed the committee’s commitment to addressing these issues, noting that they see their roles as trustees of public welfare.
Sarjis e further said that in the past 16 years, Panchagarh including Rangpur division has been subjected to a lot of discrimination. Nothing has been done except a few roads. Not a single industrial factory has been built. We do not need much. We will try our best to get the due rights of the people of Panchagarh.
Regarding getting winter clothes, he said, there are many wealthy and good people. There are many garment owners. All we need to do is communicate with them and have goodwill. The winter clothes we have received will be distributed to every union in Panchagarh in phases.
