A total of 82 Bangladeshi citizens returned home from war-torn Lebanon on November 22, bringing the overall number of returnees to 697. The group arrived on an Emirates Airlines flight and was welcomed at the airport by officials from the government and the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
According to a foreign ministry press release, 76 of the 82 returnees were brought back at the government's expense, while the remaining six received financial assistance from IOM.
The government has confirmed its continued support for those wishing to return from Lebanon, including providing necessary security for those opting to stay.
