Stating that the copy of the Reform Commission proposal has reached the BNP, party’s Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed said they will review it and provide their opinions.
He said this at the Gono Odhikar Parishad’s Iftar mahfil arrangerd in honor of politicians in Malibagh in the capital on Thursday.
Salahuddin Ahmed also said, “Reforms are a long-term process. Therefore, the interim government must provide a roadmap for the national elections while discussing this proposal.”
The BNP Standing Committee member also called on everyone to be united to move forward in building the country by embracing the aspirations of the July Revolution.
Gono Odhikar Parsihad’s President Nurur Haque Nur said, “Various crises and concerns have arisen regarding the elections.”
However, he is also optimistic that the interim government will announce the roadmap for the elections soon.
