Nearly 80,000 Bangladeshi students await German visas

Nearly 80,000 Bangladeshi students await German visas

Around 80,000 Bangladeshi students are currently waiting for German visas, according to German Ambassador to Bangladesh Achim Tröster.

He stated that these students applied for visas in 2024 and the current months of 2025. The ambassador shared this information on Wednesday through a post on his X account (formerly Twitter).

According to Tröster, 10,955 students applied for German visas in the first quarter of 2024 (January-March), 10,635 in the second quarter, 16,469 in the third quarter, and 14,476 in the fourth quarter.

Additionally, from January to March 12 this year, a total of 8,762 students have submitted their applications. This brings the total number of applications to 79,880.
