Bangladesh Army sought prayers for the eight-year-old Magura rape victim as her condition remained critical after suffering four cardiac arrests on Wednesday, reports UNB.
"The child is undergoing treatment at the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of the Paediatric Department at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Dhaka. Necessary tests are being conducted daily as per standard ICU protocols, and the highest level of medical care is being provided," the Bangladesh Army posted on its official Facebook page at midnight on Wednesday.
According to the post, the child suffered four cardiac arrests on Wednesday and was stabilised through CPR.
"Due to a salt imbalance in her blood, dialysis is being performed, and her blood pressure is critically low at 60/40 and continuing to drop," it also said.
A high-level medical board of expert doctors at CMH is making every effort to save the child's life using the most advanced medical techniques, the post further said.
