The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has reduced the source tax on imported fresh fruits from 10 per cent to 5 per cent.
The fruits covered by this reduction include fresh or dried oranges, citrus fruits (both fresh and dried), grapes (fresh or dried), lemons (fresh or dried), other citrus fruits (fresh or dried), as well as fresh apples and pears, reports UNB.
The NBR issued a notification in this regard recently, which will take effect immediately.
