Renowned entrepreneur Manzur Elahi passes away

The country’s eminent entrepreneur and industrialist Syed Manzur Elahi passed away on Wednesday morning (Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un).

He was 83.

Elahi breathed his last in Singapore around 7:30 am (Bangladesh Time). His son Syed Nasim Manzur confirmed to the media from Singapore.

Manzur Elahi is the founding chairman of the Mutual Trust Bank PLC.

He is also the chairman of Apex Group.

The successful entrepreneur also served as an adviser of the caretaker government.

Born in 1942, Elahi has an inspiring entrepreneurial journey. He led major business chambers and won various awards.
